2019 Lenten Schedule

STATIONS OF THE CROSS
Stations will be prayed every Friday Evening during Lent at 6:45 PM. These Parish Groups will be participating and assisting in the praying of the Stations of the Cross.
|Please come and join them as we walk the steps of Christ’s Life and Love for us:

March 8 – Holy Name Society & Emmaus Men’s Group
March 15 – Stewardship Group & Ladies of Charity & Women at the Well
March 22 – Greeters, Lectors and Ushers & Music Ministry & Youth
March 29 – School and Religious Education Families
April 5 – Special Ministers of the Eucharist
April 12 – Pro Life and St. Vincent De Paul Society

LENTEN PRAYER BOOK
We encourage families of the parish to pick up a copy of our Parish Lenten Prayer Book, entitled: “The Little Black Book” at the entrances of the Church – March 2 -3, 9-10.
It is intended to assist you in your daily Lenten prayer as we prepare for the glory of Easter.

WEEKDAY LENTEN MASS SCHEDULE
Weekday Lenten Masses will be as follows:
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays – 8:00 am and 10:30 am
Tuesdays, Thursday – 6:30 am and 10:30 am – Saturdays – 8:00 am

SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION
Besides the Parish Penance Service (April 3), Confessions will be heard on all Saturdays except Holy Saturday at 3:30 pm and Monday Evenings at 6:30 pm in the Church or by appointment.
Confessions will not be heard Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday

Bus Leaves St Amelia’s at 8:15 pm and returns 11:00 pm

THE LORD’S PASSION

Mass is not celebrated this day
This is a day of Fast and Abstinence
9:00 am Morning Prayer
12:00 Noon – Seven Last Words of Christ
2:00 pm – Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion, Veneration of the Cross and Distribution of Eucharist
7:00 pm – Stations of the Cross

HOLY SATURDAY – APRIL 20

EASTER VIGIL

Mass is not celebrated in the Morning this day
9:00 am Morning Prayer
12:00 pm Noon – Blessing of Easter Foods & Baskets
NO 4:30 PM & 7:00 pm MASS
8:00 pm – Mass of Easter Vigil with the Blessing of Fire,
Procession of Light, Lengthy Liturgy of the Word,
Blessing of Easter Water and Celebration of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist

EASTER SUNDAY – APRIL 21

CELEBRATION OF THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
Easter Sunday Masses – 7:00 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am
