2023 Holy Week

Lent has been a time for us to reflect on our lives and perform acts of sacrifice, fasting and prayer as we journey to Easter. Hopefully, we all have taken time to do something extra during this Lenten Season. As we approach the Glory of Holy Week – The Awe of the Sacred Triduum, I invite everyone to enter deeply into these most sacred days.

It is through this most Holy Week beginning on Palm Sunday, April 1st-2nd, and leading us to Easter that we all have an opportunity to deepen our faith and grow in the love of God. May we all work together sharing our time, talents and treasures and celebrate life as we embrace God’s love for us. Please pray for me, as I do for you each day. God Bless you all.

MORNING PRAYER

During the Three Days of the Sacred Triduum – Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday, we will begin each day with Morning Prayer at 9:00 a.m.

HOLY THURSDAY

Please plan on attending the Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper on April 6th at 7:00 p.m. which will include Washing of Feet, recommitment to the Priesthood and sharing in the Holy Eucharist. After the ser-vice, come and spend time in prayer and adoration at our Altar of Repose in the school gym until 11:00 p.m.

GOOD FRIDAY

Join us Good Friday, April 7th at 12:00 noon, to hear the Seven Last Words of Christ. At 2:00 p.m. share in the proclamation of the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, venerate the Cross on which hung our Lord and Savior and receive Holy Communion. Then at 7:00 p.m., the Youth of our Parish will be praying and acting out Shadow Stations of the Cross.

HOLY SATURDAY

On Holy Saturday, April 8th at 12:00 noon, we will have the Blessing of the Easter foods and baskets to be used on Easter Sunday.

At 8:00 p.m., come share in the awe and wonder of our faith as we bless the Fire and Light our New Paschal Candle and proclaim Christ our Light as we sing the Easter Proclamation and then listen to the richness of the Liturgy of the Word. We will then witness the blessings of the Easter Water for Baptism, renewal of our Baptismal Promises and share in the Holy Eucharist. Come let us adore and share in these most glorious days and nights

EASTER SUNDAY

On Easter Sunday, April 9th come and share in the Eucharist as we celebrate the Glory of the Resurrection with Masses at 7:00, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
