As you review our Parish Web Page, we will share with you stories, faces, activities and prayer experiences that will tell the story of who St. Amelia Parish is. It will also invite you to become an active and vital part of our parish and school family. We stand as a parish community in Tonawanda, New York that has grown, matured and developed into the parish and school, we are due to the commitment and dedication of the parishioners past and present, the spiritual direction of the many clergy and religious who have served and the inspiration and guidance of St. Amelia, our patron. As we look to the future, we are faced with the challenge to maintain the vision of our forefathers and continue to teach, share and celebrate the faith as inspired by the Second Vatican Council and our Holy Father.

Our Parish Mission states: “We, the members of St. Amelia Church are an open and inviting community of believers who seek to: Help one another to follow Christ with deeper commitment; Encourage one another to respond to the call of the Holy Spirit to fulfill the Gospel by living lives in imitation of our Lord, Jesus Christ; Practice, teach and share the idea that our Parish is a family in the very real sense. And just as members of a traditional family all look out for one another’s joys and sorrow, we likewise are concerned for the spiritual growth, development and well-being of all our brothers and sisters who make up our parish community; Through the intercession of St. Amelia, Patron of our parish, we dedicate all our words, deeds and actions for the glory and honor of God, our Father.

Be assured of my prayers for you daily, and I ask for your prayers as well as I minister as your pastor. My door is always open, so please do not hesitate to contact me at any time

May we all continue to live our belief that “All are Welcome here at St. Amelia.”
