Our Dear Friends of St. Amelia – this week is Catholic Schools Week and our theme for this year is Music of the Knight. This is a wonderful time to celebrate all of our amaizing talents of our St. Amelia School and community #GoKnights! And it is a time to thank God for all of the beautiful gifts and talents that have been given to us and shared with others. We look forward to celebrating our school with you!
Please join us virtually for our annual celebration of National Catholic Schools Week! We have planned a variety of special events all week to include:
Instrument contest
- Display class instruments by Monday, Feb 1st.
- Masked Singing with teachers – try to guess who the masked teacher is
- Families can lip synch videos at home that can be watched and shared at school
Come together as a Parish Family
On Sunday, Janury 30th, 2021 we will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week and all of our St. Amelia School students at the 9:00am Mass. This Mass is held both virtually and in person. We invite you to join us and choose which one to attend.

Blue & Gold Day
On Monday, February 1st we invite you to show your Knight Pride by wearing your St. Amelia Blue and Gold gear! Each homeroom will create and record a slogan or short message that showcases that they are #StAmeliaStrong!
A Day at the Symphony
On Tuesday, February 2nd students and staff will dress up in their very best as if you were attending a night at the symphony. We will be watching special performances bu our very own Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
Decades Day with Virtual Mass
On Wednesday, February 3rd we invite you to dress up and represent the music from your decade! Appropriate dress attire is required, but be creative and have fun!
- 1st and 4th grades – representing the 1990’s
- 2nd and 5th grades- representing the 1950’s
- 3rd and 6th grades – representing the 1960’s
- Kind. and 7th grades – representing the 1970’s
- PreK 3, PreK 4 and 8th grades – representing the 1980’s
Country Music Day
On Thursday, February 4th we have a very special surprise Western Themed Event for our students! We invite our students and staff to dress up like a cowboy or cowgirl and join in the fun!
Rock Star Day
On Friday, February 5th we are celebrating this week like a #RockStar! We invite you to dress up like a “rock star” (appropriate attire required). we will also have our annual Lip Sync battle which will be pre-recorded and streamed in classrooms.
We will also be showcasing our Masked Singing Teachers as we “unmask” and reveal who they are. And to close out the week we are celebrating a night at the movies (for St. Amelia Students and parents only). The movie will be in the evening and we are showing: SING! This will be a drive-in evening event in the parking lot.
