Communion to the Homebound Ministry
A trained group of Eucharistic Ministrers bring Holy Communion to our homebound parishoners who are ill or unable to attend Mass. We pray with them and help keep them connected with the broader parish community. Please let us know if you or a family member are homebound and would like to receive the Eucharist, or if you would be interested in serving in this ministry.

God’s Garden Ministry
God’s Garden Ministry is a group of dedicated volunteers who maintain the grounds of St. Amelia campus except for lawn mowing. The group gardens for two or more hours in the early evening one day a week starting in April, working up to November. We are looking for committed individuals who would like to serve God inthis manner. All you need is a willing spirit; no gardening experience required. We have knowledgable people in the group, but if you are a gardener, allthe better!

Health Ministry
A group of healthcare professionals and other interested parishoners provide a variety of programs focused on the interaction between physical health and spiritual life. One weekend a month blood pressure screening is offered before and after select weekend Masses. Occasionally the group sponsors presentations on timely health issues. You can find days & times for these screenings and sessions along with health tips in the weekly bulletin.

Marriage Preparation
This ministry plays an important role in preparing engaged couples for entering into the sacrament of marriage. Our teams consist of experiences, married couples who meet with engaged couples. Our preparation (Pre-Cana) takes place in March but we also offer one-on-one sponsor sessions throughout the year as needed to accomodate engaged couples. Married couples who can share their experience of marriage with engaged couples are welcome to consider being a part of this vital ministry.

Ministry of Praise
Parishoners provide spiritual support for the parish and the universal Church by offering prayers and sacrificies at home. There are no meetings. A monthly newsletter suggests specific intentions and forms of prayer. if oyu would like to be added to the mailing list, please contact our Outreach Ministry Office.

Prayer Shawl Ministry
Knitted or crocheted shawls and prayer pockets are made with prayerful intentions for the recipient. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month in the afternoon at our Outreach office which is located in the Lighthouse. For those who choose to work at home, patterns, yarn and prayers can be obtained at our Outreach office. Blessed shawls for those that are ill or experiencing trying times are always freely given and are available at our Outreach office.

Precious Blood of Jesus Ministry
Precious Blood of Jesus Prayer community has been meeting every week for over 40 years to pray for the parishoners, the sick, our nation and special intentions. This gathering of lay people enjoy scripture, psalms, and songs of praise as they pray together every Tuesday from 2:00 – 3:30pm in the cryign room of the church. everyone is welcome to join or stop in for prayer.

Respect Life
The respect Life Committee works to combat what Pope John Paul II termed as “The Culture of Death”. It seeks ways and means to heighten our awareness of God’s greatest gift – the gift of life!

Stewardship
Three times each year the parish focuses on one of three components of Catholic Stewardship. In February, we ask members to devote some of their talent to God by serving the parish in one or more of our various ministries. In April, we ask parishioners to dedicate an appreciable amount of time to improve their relationship with God – by praying, by reading and studying the scriptures, by taking part in a small group, or in Eucharistic Adoration. In September, we ask people to dedicate a good percentage of their treasure to enable the parish to remain solvent and to continue to provide the numerous services and ministries.
