EMMAUS MEN’S SPIRITUALITY PROGRAM

On the second Saturday of each month, men gather for a continental breakfast in the rectory meeting room at 8:30am.  A guest speaker gives a presentation for about 40minutes which is followed by an optional discussion period. The program is open to all men of any age; no advance registration is necessary.

HEARTS AFIRE MERCY GROUP

This parish based program from the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception is a small group faith renewal program,  It is designed to help us live the Catholic life of faith, charity and the sacraments; to set our hearts on fire with love of God and neighbor and to do works of mercy in our families, parishes and communities.

Our members have completed or are in the process of completing 33 Days to Morning Glory, Consoling the Heart of Jesus, and Wisdom and Works of Mercy.  We feel that a big part of our mission at St. Amelia is prayer, both within our group and by our parish.  Recitation of the Rosary and the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for our country, a Holy Hour for Priests, and celebration of Divine Mercy Sunday are our focus at this time.  Our members also visit a nursing facility as a group to frost Christmas cookies and dye Easter eggs, at the same time making new friends there.  We occasionally host movie nights with faith focused movies and documentaries as well.

MIRACULOUS MEDAL NOVENA

Monday evenings beginning at 6:30pm all are invited to gather in the Church for Adoration, Benediction and the recitation of the Miraculous Medal Novena.  The sacrament of reconciliation is also available.
